Terms of Delivery

  • We process and deliver orders Monday to Friday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays will be dealt with on the next working day.
  • Stock orders received by 2 pm will be despatched within 24 hours.
  • Delivery is to the UK mainland only. Should you require delivery outside of the UK mainland, please get in touch with us.

Standard Delivery Costs (Mainland UK only)

  • For orders over £60.00 standard delivery is FREE
  • For orders below £60.00 a delivery surcharge of £6.99 (+ vat) will be applied

Saturday and Next Day Delivery Costs (Mainland UK only)

  • Overnight with delivery before 10.00 am is £21.99 (+ vat)
  • Overnight with delivery before 1.00 pm is £16.99 (+ vat)
  • Priority delivery the next day is £6.99 (+ vat)
  • Saturday AM delivery is £19.99 (+ vat)

Deliveries outside of Mainland UK (Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland and EIRE)

  • All deliveries will be despatched as per our standard terms, but delivery times cannot be guaranteed. If you require an urgent delivery, please contact the Marine Sales Desk on [email protected] or 01869 363690 to check estimated delivery times before placing your order

Dangerous Goods

  • All items that are classified as Dangerous Goods (either Full or Limited Quantity) will be despatched as per our standard terms but, due to potential paperwork checks with Carriers, these delivery times cannot be guaranteed

 

Important Update: Shipping Surcharges and Exceptions

We are introducing updates to our delivery terms regarding additional shipping charges. Please note that orders falling into the categories listed below will incur a mandatory additional shipping surcharge. These charges will be calculated and invoiced to the customer retrospectively after the order is processed. If you wish to know the cost of a delivery prior to order placement, please contact the Sales Desk on 01869 363690. 

This policy applies to all orders received from 1st December 2025.

Orders Subject to Surcharge:

1. Oversized, Palletised & Heavy Items

Additional charges apply to products that exceed standard carrier dimensions, heavy items, and items requiring specialist handling or palletisation.

Oversized Products: Calculated if the size is greater than 50cm x 50cm x 50cm, or if the length exceeds 1 metre, or if the weight exceeds 25kg, or any combination thereof.

Examples of Long/Oversized Items (non-exhaustive list):

Items over 1 metre long.

Flag pole (3.5 metre) – MERCFLAGTUBE

Barge pole (2.5 – 4 metre) – 26.311.450

Palletised Dropship Deliveries: Any delivery which, due to weight, size, shape, or dangerous goods restrictions, must be dispatched on a pallet.

Examples (non-exhaustive list):

Ceramic toilets – single units shipping to private customers – RTCH0201

Orders weighing over 25kg that require palletisation.

Large Items: Including, but not limited to, selected Fenders, Buoys, and Anchors.

 

2. Dangerous Goods (DG) Above Limited Quantity

Surcharges apply to items classified as Dangerous Goods where the quantity exceeds the regulatory 'Limited Quantity' threshold.

Examples (non-exhaustive list):

Batteries

Oils

Paint in cans 3 Litres and above

 

3. Non-Mainland UK & Remote Deliveries

Additional charges will be applied to all deliveries outside of Mainland UK, including the Scottish Highlands.

Examples (non-exhaustive list): Dealers in Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, The Shetlands, Inverness, Orkney Isles, Isle of Lewis, Europe, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
